如果你在上海只有一天时间那就去走走外滩，如果你有48小时的话，上海博物馆是一定要去的。这个地方太爽了。此馆原建于1952年，1994年耗资7亿元重建，从外形来看很像一个超级大鼎，气势磅礴，是上海的标志性建筑之一。
我想上海博物馆应该是上海最文化的地方了。谁说上海只适合赚钱？这里同样有文化气息。What is 文化, by the way?
我也不知道，这只是我的感觉。在很多情况下，文化是用钱来购买的。现在中国有钱了，外汇储备多得发愁，上海尤其富得流油，掏出几十个亿去世界各地搜罗古玩，将来一定能弄个比罗浮宫和大英博物馆牛B很多倍的超级博物馆来。
馆内巨大无比，展品多达12万件，从青铜器，古瓷器，玉器，到中国画书法等等无所不包，件件让我掉口水。好东西太多我就不一一说了，单说这件1994年上海青浦县出土的灰陶盉，此其貌不扬的宝贝看起来丑，可它是上海博物馆藏品中最古老的之一，属菘泽文化时期，约公元前3800-3200年。上海在1840年鸦片战争时还只是一个渔村，很多人说上海这个地方没什么历史，也没什么文化，看了这件宝贝，嗯，这些贬低上海文化的人可以自己掌嘴了。

如果你比较爱好摄影，估计你在上海博物馆会逗留一整天。2006年8月2日上午10点到下午5点我从一楼到四楼，各个展厅不停的狂奔，走马观花而已。根本就没有时间仔细欣赏，我的心思都放在寻找那些拍出来会比较漂亮的展品了。很多精品虽然眼睛看上去也很漂亮，可是拍出来不会漂亮，我就没看了。人的眼睛对光线的宽容度很大，照相机不管是胶卷还是数码，都差多了。博物馆的现场光都是点射灯，明暗对比太强烈。我需要寻找那些光照比较均匀的photographicable
items.
博物馆里面可以随便拍照但不可以用闪光灯和三角架。展品除了某些不够珍贵的石雕以外都在玻璃柜子里，反光很严重，要拍好是很困难的，需要细心寻找角度。还有就是不要穿浅色衣服，白色衣服反光严重。我的相机重达两公斤，和一哑铃相当，拍摄几百张下来，接下来两天手腕都很酸疼。这些片子都是用佳能
Canon EF28-135IS一个镜头，大多数使用ISO800到1600高感光度，全部为现场光, on available
light. 个别使用了中灰渐变滤色镜。
